If you recall CMT 2017, you'll remember there were hundreds of victories won for the ARC. We'll see if even more are won this year! Last year's CMT was fairly simple, win as many games as possible in the time given. Our well deserving victor, cobrahenz, won that with now a grand total of 370+ points! This year's CMT is very different. CMT 2018 works like a real chess tournament. Everyone in the Top 100 is paired with someone, then they have 1 month to make more points than the opposing player. After 12 rounds, whoever has the best record, wins. 1st prize is the same as last year, $30. However, if you remember, the prize kept getting better as results kept getting better. Pairing is completely random through a generator for Round 1 (January 1st-31st). After that, pairing is decided upon similar results through also a generator.
